EIFS Special Inspections

In response to the many EIFS problems nationwide, the 2003 International Building Code in Sec 1704.12 and 2012 International Building Code Sec 1705.15 has added a requirement for a Third Party Special Inspection for EIFS applications.

Detect It has the experience and qualifications to complete these inspections. Each of our inspectors have been in the Stucco/EIFS Industry for over 20 years and has the highest training and certification available. We have each been certified from the Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries-International (AWCI) allowing us to have the title of Certified EIFS Inspector (CEI).

The IBC Code does not require inspections for systems that allow for drainage, in these cases we can act as Third Party Consultants for the General Contractor, Designer, Architect and or Owners Representative.
